Opened in October two thousand sixteen, MAAT occupies a beautifully transformed riverside power station from nineteen thirteen and a modern gallery designed by British architect Amanda Levete. As you approach, the museum’s sweeping roof reflects sunlight, casting shimmering patterns on the Tagus River.
