This stunning garden was crafted by Francisco Manuel de Melo Breyne and Andrade Corvo, with contributions from German horticulturist Edmund Goeze and French botanist Jules Daveau. The Lisbon Botanic Garden received the distinction of being declared a National Monument in two thousand and ten, recognising its significant historical and botanical value. Between two thousand sixteen and two thousand eighteen, the garden underwent a comprehensive revamp, enhancing its irrigation, lighting, and infrastructure to enrich the visitor experience.
